Censured in Canada Festival

An underground film festival for Canadian-based artists and work that has been marginalized by Canadian festivals and institutions – whether due to a lack of “right” credentials; or it challenges aesthetic / social norms.

Film Eligibility

  • Applicants must be based in, or resident in Canada.
  • Submissions must be a Canadian premiere, and must have been rejected by at least 2 to 3 Canadian film festivals.

  • Late Submissions are open till 30 Mar 2017.
  • The 2017 Festival will be held in Cinecycle (129 Spadina Ave, Toronto) on 27-28 May 2017.

We are looking for fellow misfits and advocates. Whether you are interested in curating, outreach, managing technical bits, staffing the bar, or however you’d like to help out. Please drop us a note.
